It looked like something from a sci-fi movie.

But here's what was actually happening in their Monday team meetings: they'd spend an hour looking at charts, everyone would nod knowingly at the data, and then they'd make decisions based on gut feeling anyway. The dashboard wasn't changing behavior – it was just expensive decoration.
